Checklists settings
The checklist templates printed with a job card or on their own.
When to use
- You are setting up your service checklists.
- You change what a service checks.
Only Owners can change checklists.
Overview
The Checklists page lists each template with its paper colour, colour band, number of items, how many jobs use it, and status. A job type can add one to its jobs automatically. See Checklists for how they print.
Key features
- Name, for example Truck service.
- Paper colour: the paper it is printed on. It is printed small in the header as a reminder.
- Band colour: printed across the top of the sheet with the name in it.
- Active. Inactive templates cannot be added to jobs. Jobs that have them keep them.
- Items: an ordered list. Each line is an Item or a Heading, which is a shaded line across the sheet that starts a section.
How to: make a checklist
- Go to Settings, then Checklists, then New checklist.
- Enter a Name, Paper colour and Band colour.
- Select Add item or Add heading and type each line.
- Use Up, Down and Remove to arrange them.
- Select Add checklist.
Tips & gotchas
- The buttons that change the list show the form again. Only Save writes to the database.
- Make a template inactive instead of removing it if jobs use it.
- Choose a default checklist for a job type on Job types settings.
