Getting startedSigning in

Signing in

Sign in with your email address and password, and stay signed in on your own phone.

When to use

  • The first time you use WSManager, with a reset link from an Owner.
  • Each time you need to sign in on a computer.
  • When you forget your password.

Overview

Every person has their own sign-in. The sign-in page shows your workshop’s name under the heading Sign in.

Key features

  • Email address and password. Passwords need at least 10 characters. There are no other complexity rules and passwords do not expire.
  • Keep me signed in on this device. Tick this on your own phone or computer. You stay signed in for 60 days of use. If you leave it unticked, the session ends after 12 hours idle.
  • Lock-out. Five wrong passwords lock the account for 15 minutes.
  • Reset link. An Owner creates a one-time link for you. It works once and expires in 24 hours.
  • Change your password. Open your name in the top bar, then Change password. You need your current password. Changing it signs you out everywhere else.

How to: sign in

  1. Open your workshop’s WSManager address in a browser.
  2. Enter your Email address and Password.
  3. Tick Keep me signed in on this device if it is your own device.
  4. Select Sign in.
  1. Open the link the Owner gave you.
  2. Enter a New password and enter it again under New password again.
  3. Select Set password. You are taken to the sign-in page, which says your password is set.

If the page says This link doesn’t work, the link has expired or has already been used. Ask an Owner for a new one.

How to: sign in a shared workshop PC (Owner)

Shared PCs have their own username and password, not a person’s. Select Signing in a shared workshop PC? under the sign-in form, enter the device username and password from Settings, Shared devices, then Sign in this device. See the shared workshop PC.

Tips & gotchas

  • There is no “Forgot password” email. Ask an Owner for a reset link.
  • If you see You don’t have access to this page, your role does not include that page. See Roles.
  • Your PIN for the workshop PC is separate from your password. Set it on My PIN.
