Automatic changes and offers

  • The first time entry on a booked job moves it to In progress.
  • Parts changes make offers, never silent changes. After you request a part, the next page offers Move J-… to Parts to order. After a part is marked ordered, it offers Awaiting parts. When the last outstanding part arrives, it offers In progress. Select Move to accept, or ignore it. Technicians are never offered these.

Cancelling

Cancelling always asks for a reason. Any time recorded on the job is kept. Future bookings are removed and any running time ends.

How to: put a job on hold

  1. Open the job page.
  2. Optionally enter a Reason (optional) and select Put on hold.
  3. The reason shows on the job page.

How to: mark a job complete

Invoicing from WSManager is not available yet. Once you have invoiced the job in Xero:

  1. Open the job. It must be To invoice.
  2. Enter a Note, for example “Invoiced in Xero”, and select Mark complete.

Tips & gotchas

  • Complete and Cancelled are kept off the board by a date range. See The job board.
  • Work finished is never done from the job board, because it needs the meter reading and next service due.
  • If you reopen a Complete or Cancelled job, its Xero tracking option is made active again.
